The event featured a powerful keynote by Leon Russell, President of the NAACP Board of Directors, a heartfelt honoring ceremony, live music, the unveiling of a commemorative quilt, an interactive Living History Timeline, and more. It was a powerful tribute to the families whose legacy continues to shape the fight for educational equity.
